Heyo it's SOVO!

The Student Organization & Volunteer Opportunity Fair (SOVO Fair) is a twice-yearly event that helps students discover ways to get involved on campus and in the Richmond community.

Student organizations, campus partners, and community organizations host tables to share opportunities, answer questions, and help students explore interests, build connections, and find their place at VCU.

Fall 2026 SOVO Fair will be on Aug. 21 from 3-6pm in Monroe Park.

  • Student Orgs

    Student organizations registered with VCU must complete a SOVO Fair registration through the annual registration process May - June 1 on RamsConnect. Organizations should be sure their RamsConnect profile is up to date and that all officers are listed to receive confirmation and follow-up details. Additional information about tabling expectations, arrival times, and day-of logistics will be shared with orgs in July.

  • Campus Departments

    VCU departments follow a separate registration process from student organizations. Registration timelines and requirements may vary depending on the nature of your unit’s involvement and available space. Partners should review posted details carefully to confirm eligibility, tabling expectations, and any applicable deadlines. Final logistics and event-day information will be shared closer to the fair.

  • Community Partners

    Community organizations participate in SOVO Fair through a distinct registration process coordinated by VCU. Space is limited, and participation may be prioritized based on alignment with student engagement and volunteer involvement opportunities. Registration timelines, requirements, and confirmation details will be shared in advance of the event. Selected organizations will receive additional information about logistics, arrival instructions, and tabling guidelines.
