VCU's official welcome program featuring dozens of events and programs. WoW is designed for new and transfer students and inclusive of all students.
Weeks of Welcome aims to help students engage with peers, faculty, staff, and resources to foster a sense of belonging; increase awareness of tools for success; and, offer opportunities for students to engage and get involved. There are over 150 events to choose from during Weeks of Welcome so be sure to check out the extensive WoW calendar in RamsConnect! This calendar is regularly updated.
This year’s Weeks of Welcome theme, Your Stage Awaits, transforms the start of the academic year into a festival-style celebration inspired by VCU’s bold creativity, individuality, and uncommon spirit. Through transformative experiences, signature traditions, late-night programs, and campus-wide engagement opportunities, Weeks of Welcome 2026: Your Stage Awaits is designed to foster a sense of belonging while connecting students to the people, tools, resources, and experiences that support their success at VCU and within the Richmond community. From involvement opportunities to meaningful connections, Your Stage Awaits invites every Ram to discover their place, build community, and begin their journey with confidence.
