
Dani is a P3 at VCU School of Pharmacy. In 2024, she graduated from VCU with a B.S. in Health Science. Dani also currently serves in the U.S. Army Reserves as a pharmacy specialist, and is a public affairs officer for her unit. Dani has many hobbies including making sourdough, reading, and crocheting!

Dagmawit is a P3 at VCU School of Pharmacy and studied Pre-Pharmacy and Chemistry at BC. As Vice President for The Capsule Newsletter, she loves highlighting the stories and experiences of fellow VCU Pharmacy students. Originally from sunny Miami, Florida, she usually enjoys reading, baking treats, singing along to her favorite songs, planning her next travel adventure… and secretly wishing for more than 24 hours.

Peyton is a P2 at VCU School of Pharmacy and serves as President-Elect. She is excited to contribute articles that highlight the many facets of pharmacy students’ and pharmacists’ lives. Outside of pharmacy, Peyton enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and being with friends, family, and her dogs.

Janie graduated with a B.S. in biology from the College of William and Mary. She is a current P2 student at VCU School of Pharmacy, acts as The Secretary for The Capsule. She is passionate about reading, writing, and animal welfare. In her free time she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and trying new cafés.

Saba is a P3 at VCU School of Pharmacy. She graduated from George Mason University with a B.S. in Neuroscience. She is the Event Coordinator for The Capsule Newsletter. She wants to not only write stories that relate medical news with direct social impacts, but also get more people involved with The Capsule. In her free time, she likes to watch horror movies with friends, read dystopian novels and work on random crafts of the week!

Hannah is a P2 at VCU School of Pharmacy. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Human Biology. She is the Publisher for The Capsule Newsletter. She is passionate about creating awareness for current pharmacy issues. In her free time you can find her working at a community pharmacy, hanging out with her cat, or traveling.

Mora is a P3 at VCU School of Pharmacy with a background in neuroeconomic modeling. Throughout pharmacy school, she has developed an interest in research and academia, especially in outcomes sciences and digital health. She is also interested in pregnancy and lactation pharmacy and hopes to contribute to more accessible, patient-centered care in these areas. Outside of school, Mora enjoys curating music playlists, the performing arts and creative writing.

Hannah is a P3 at the VCU School of Pharmacy and currently serves as the Social Media Manager. She graduated from Christopher Newport University with a B.S in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Hannah is passionate about writing articles that highlight life in Richmond, as well as what fellow students are reading, watching, and listening to. She also enjoys exploring and showcasing the diverse career paths available within the pharmacy profession. In her free time, she enjoys trying new coffee shops, spending time with her husband and cats, reading, baking, and being outdoors!

Mary Kate, Director of Communications at VCU School of Pharmacy, advises The Capsule. She began working at VCU in 2019 as a PR specialist with VCU's health sciences schools before joining the School of Pharmacy in 2023. She earned her B.A. in journalism at Elon University after growing up in La Grange, Illinois, and has now spent more than a decade calling Virginia home. She adores sipping loose leaf tea, running, biking, hiking, spending time with a good book alongside her cats, Stella and Ozzie, and helping share the stories of success of our School of Pharmacy community.
