Commons Flex Space Request Form

Got a creative idea? Planning a donation drive? Want to decorate a window or hang a banner? The Commons has you covered!

Student organizations can now submit requests for select Commons spaces using our Commons Flex Space Request Form, available on the “Reserve a Space” page of our website.

Use this form for :

  • lobby, public area, or hallway usage
  • Donation box drives
  • Banners or marketing displays
  • Window decorating
  • Art or class project installations
  • Other locations not listed in EMS

If you’ve ever thought, “I don’t see this space in EMS — now what?” — this form is your answer!

We’re excited to help bring your ideas to life in the Commons. If you have questions before submitting, don’t hesitate to reach out, please email thecommons@vcu.edu

 
Underground April Hours

Heads up on some upcoming early closures in The Underground, and be sure to stop by before we close up shop for this academic year at the end of the month! 

Upcoming Special Operating Hours

April 16: 11am-4:30pm
April 24: 11am-1:30pm

Last Day of Underground Hours for the Academic Year
The last day The Underground will be open for the spring semester is Thursday, April 29! 

Package Pickup Deadline: April 30
Don't forget your pacakges! We'll continue to reach out with your pacakge updates, and it's critical you pick up any and all packages for your org before the end of the semester. The Underground will be open for package pickup only on Friday, April 30. Any packages not picked up before May 1 may be subject to return or donation and associated orgs may be subject to future restrictions in accessing funding. So please remember to pick up those packages, and reach out to studentorgs@vcu.edu with any questions or concerns!

Student Org Annual Registration Coming Soon: May 1 - June 1

It's that time again! Annual Registration is just around the corner. Start preparing now by updating your officers and members, reviewing your constitution, and making sure your advisor is in place for the 2026-2027 academic year.  More information coming in future issues!
