New Student Convocation

Black Out! Wear the black shirt you received at Orientation, or feel free to wear your best all black outfit! Think pep rally and dress comfortably and accordingly!

During New Student Convocation, you'll hear from campus leaders, connect with fellow new Rams, and get inspired for all that lies ahead. It's time to celebrate your achievements and get hyped for the amazing opportunities waiting for you at VCU! Additionally, we will be taking the incoming class of fall 2026's class photo, so you won't want to miss it. Immediately following the event, all students are invited to participate in the Ram Spirit Walk from Siegel to the Ram Horns.

Getting to Convocation:

Students living on campus, meet your RA before the event and walk over with your floor to the event!

Students living off-campus, join us at the Commuter Student Meet-up before the event. 2-2:30pm in the STEM Building (817 W. Franklin St.).
Online students, joining virtually on the livestream, which will be posted on the New Student Convocation website the day of the event.
