Are you a Veteran with a story? Do you like educating our civilan population about the military experience and the transition to the acedemic realm? If so, we need you. We are looking for veteran volunteers to be panel speakers for our Green Zone Training program. If you would like to be a pannelist please contact Stephen Ross

The Student Veteran Association (SVA) Needs You!! If you are looking for a great way to connect with your fellow Vets, this is the perfect opportunity. If you are a spouse or dependent, this is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside the VCU veteran community. The SVA recruits any and all within our Military Student Services Community. Have a glance at the below statement from our local VCU SVA Leadership Team. We would love to have you on board!!

SVA acts as a catalyst for student veteran success by providing resources, network support and advocacy to, through, and beyond higher education. Our mission is academic, personal, and professional success for student veterans, military spouses, and dependents at VCU. Each semester we provide programming intended to be impactful, and our members make that possible.

Follow VCU SVA on social media and join our GroupMe chat to say hello and connect with other VCU SVA members. We partner closely with VCU Military Student Services, and their email blasts will highlight upcoming SVA events. Be sure to drop in the VCU Military Student Services office for a quiet place to study, meet their dedicated staff, and learn about resources for academic, personal, and professional growth.

Bookmark the VCU SVA website on Campusgroups and check back for updates about events and other resources.

Visit the national Student Veterans of America website to learn more about national and regional events, such as SVA Washington Week, SVA NatCon, and regional summits. Check out some of the online features of SVA Membership, such as MySVA and SVA's Success Hub. SVA also has a lot of great information on scholarships and the advocacy work that they perform to advance veteran student policies at the state and national level.
