At this first-of-its-kind Global Cafe, we'll recognize different cultures through one common ingredient: GARLIC from VCU's very own urban gardens, managed by VCU Sustainability. Volunteer to prepare and share a dish, and we will provide the garlic for you at no cost. Not interested in cooking? We invite you to simply come and taste global flavors made from local roots and learn about the efforts of GEO and VCU Sustainability by RSVPing here.

Please note:

1) Garlic does not have to be the main ingredient of your dish! Even if your recipe includes a small portion of garlic, we encourage you to share it!

2) Our event will officially begin at 5pm, but participants have the option to cook/prepare their dish onsite at the West Grace South Kitchen between 4pm - 5pm. A limited amount of cooking supplies will be provided (pots, pans, olive oil, spices etc.).

3) In most cases, additional ingredients needed to prepare your dish beyond garlic will not be provided or purchased by GEO or VCU Sustainability prior to the event. However, if this poses a significant barrier to your participation, please let us know and we will try our best to accommodate you within our capacity.

Register to cook by October 2nd by scanning the QR code in the event flyer!
